CRE and its partners

CRE is involved in several cooperative structures with the regulation bodies of its neighbouring European Union countries.

ECRB - Energy Community Regulatory Board

The treaty that established the Energy Community, which was signed in 2005, is aimed at extending the internal energy market to the Balkan Peninsula. CRE participates in the Energy Community Regulatory Board, which prepares the Energy Community work regarding electricity and gas market regulation. While contributing to cooperation within the ECRB, it also participates in the implementation of the Community acquis in this region.

MEDREG - Association of Mediterranean Regulators for Electricity and Gas

CRE participates in the work of the Association of Mediterranean Regulators for Electricity and Gas. Created in 2007, MEDREG facilitates discussions on Best Practices between the regulators of the 21 Mediterranean countries and the implementation of consistent regulatory frameworks in the region.
