CRE publishes the report : Monitoring and functioning of wholesale electricity and natural gas markets in 2025

The French Energy Regulator (CRE) publishes its annual report on the monitoring and functioning of the wholesale electricity and gas markets. The report aims, on the one hand, to present CRE's market monitoring activities and, on the other, to provide insights into how these markets operate and how they are evolving.
Once again, 2025 was marked by an increase in the volume of transactions monitored and by an intensification of CRE teams' work. In addition, 2025 saw a gradual return to more stable market conditions following the 2022–2023 energy crisis, while also highlighting the lasting effects of the structural changes that have taken place in recent years.
